This hidden gem, nestled near Inglewood along the Macintyre Brooke and situated midway between Warwick, Stanthorpe, and Goondiwindi, offers more than just a superb camping area during the warmer months. It's also an ideal destination to visit in the cooler winter months.
Picture yourself watching the sunset next to a blazing fire, sipping on a beverage of choice, and listening to the birds serenading the sun as it sets. Or, as you wake up at the break of dawn, imagine stepping outside to witness the fog settling atop the serene waters of Bracker Creek.
Greenup Meeting Place is situated close to the Queensland border and is an unspoiled private farmland property spanning 60 acres on the tranquil south shore of Lake Coolmunda, which Bracker Creek feeds into.
The property has a rich history; it was once the site of Greenup School, which opened on 11 March 1918 to 21 students.
Greenup Meeting Place provides a range of accommodation options, from three family-sized dormitories with reverse-cycle air-conditioning to camping.

Up to 50 non-powered campsites are available for all travellers and explorers of the great outdoors, providing ample space for tents, caravans, RV’s and camper trailers. Native trees shelter these peaceful sites and access to clean and well-maintained toilet and shower facilities is a walk away.
During the winter months, there is no shortage of exciting activities to enjoy at Greenup Meeting Place. The property is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, with over 55 bird species observed in a single day, including Galahs, Corellas, Superb Fairywrens, and Spotted Doves. Guests have also had the pleasure of spotting Black Swans, Emus, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Hares, and other animals.
In addition to providing a tranquil environment to unwind, Greenup Meeting Place offers an excellent opportunity for photographers to capture some remarkable shots.
Fishing enthusiasts can drop a line right from their campsite or explore the shoreline for the perfect spot to catch Yellowbelly or Cod, making it a destination for those who love to fish.

For those who prefer to stay warm and cosy during their stay, firewood is readily available on the property. However, guests are required to bring their own chainsaw for collecting firewood.

Evening meal: Spoil yourself while camping. Let Chef Col know before 12pm and he will cook you an evening meal for $30 head / BYO.
Cafe open from 7 am-4 pm Thursday-Monday. Winter months open from 8 am.
